Do you love marine life? Do you like seeing animals up close? Well, there’s a place in Cancun where you can not only see them up close, but also interact with them. The Cancun Interactive Aquarium , located in Plaza la Isla, is pure fun and entertainment for children and adults alike.
The Cancun Interactive Aquarium offers many activities you can do with your family and friends.
The tour begins with 13 exhibition tanks to observe: 1,195 fish of 140 different species, deadly jellyfish, and numerous corals. As we progress, we’ll find areas to interact with the animals. Among them, we can feed turtles, observe starfish, swim with dolphins, and dive into the water with tiger and bull sharks, which will be just a few meters away from us. So don’t forget to bring your swimsuit if you want to do any of these activities. You’ll find an area with iPads for more information, as well as an auditorium to watch videos and documentaries about the marine world.
We recommend coming in the afternoon so you can catch the small dolphin show that takes place at 6:30 p.m. Getting there is very easy, as it’s located in the Hotel Zone , and there are buses and taxis that run along the Boulevard constantly. Another tip? We recommend booking online, as there are often great discounts. The Cancun Interactive Aquarium is open Monday through Sunday from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
